Organizational support from state and local United Ways

Thank you to our local and state United Way members!

UWRA is supported in large part through the generosity of local and state United Ways through an annual giving campaign.  Giving to the United Way Retirees Association is a wonderful example of System Citizenship.  UWRA may or may not be directly helping your United Way this year or next but we will be assisting local United Ways throughout the country as well as assisting the people who helped make the system what it is today.

An investment in the future of UWRA helps to insure that this organization continues to be an active part of the total United Way system and a benefit to current/future retirees. Ways your local United Way can provide support:

  • Consider an ongoing investment in UWRA through a gift to our annual campaign

  • Help get the word out about UWRA to your staff and alumni/retirees. Mention this great resource, post a UWRA link on your internal websites - keep your retirees involved and engaged with each other and in the United Way mission.

  • Pay UWRA membership dues for your alumni/retired staff. Click here to read why the United Way of Rochester makes this investment for their retirees; and here for a listing of the Gold Standard United Ways that pay UWRA dues.

Together, we can make communities a better place for people to live and work. Thank you all for your support!

Thank you to the nearly 200 local and state United Ways that contributed to our 2016 annual campaign.   We could not do it without you!  We look forward to your continued support - and hopefully adding more United Ways to our list in 2015.
