Together, We Can Do Better

Every year more than one million students drop out of high school, and another 6,000 will drop out today.

It takes more than 12 years to create a high school graduate, and fewer to create a drop-out.

Less than half of U.S. graduates are college-ready.

There are more than 1,746 “drop-out factories” in the United States.

Almost half of children start school without the skills they need to succeed.

Two out of three fourth grade students cannot read proficiently.

One out of four high school students will not graduate on time.

But, together, we can do better.
